Going Virtual – an effective business strategy for Domocare.

Domocare manages a linking-pin organization set up on a virtual base.

A fast growing number of companies are finding virtual ‘staff’ to be a good middle ground between working ‘solo’ and hiring full-time staff members who needs desks, benefits and steady pay checks.

Working in a virtual team with the assistance of technology, these independent contractors handle myriad tasks for busy professionals, including comparative market analysis development, virtual tour assembly and posting, drip e-mail campaign creation, e-mail inquiry filtering and Web site maintenance.

“Literally anything can be done from a distance,” says Jean(JJJ) Theuns, CEO of Domocare, accountable for the coordination of the virtual assistant organizations for the real estate industry. “We’re now on the point we no longer list and sell, but instead direct our team to success.”

He says sales associates generally pay either € 150 to € 250 per transaction or € 25 to € 35 per hour depending on the scope of the project, and can be very useful to our country-managers who are working with independent sales-associates.

Theuns says Country-managers with good communication skills and the ability to delegate tasks in a clear, succinct manner tend to be the best match for a virtual assistant/omni-support service company. By the time a third transaction rolls around, he says the relationship begins to “gel” well, with both parties becoming comfortable with the process.

“By that third sale, everyone is on board and comfortable,” Theuns says. “After that, the virtual assistant pretty much goes on automatic.”
